The finalists listed below will now be noitified over the next few days. All finalists will receive a 12 week unlimited membership at Sunshine Coast Karate for themselves and a parent valued at $612 each. Prizes may be transferred to another person same age or older, and prizes cannot be exchanged or taken as cash.
Also please note, age categories are determined by age this year, as a result some had selected the wrong age category, but the organisers have adjusted such entries as per date of birth on the entry forms.

Who Will Be The Grand Champions?
In addition to receiving a 12 week membership for themselves and a parent at Sunshine Coast Karate, the top entry in each age category will be selected at a special award ceremony on Saturday 18th June 2011. The grand champions will walk away with a grand champion cash prize of $200 for themself and an additional $500 to be dontated to their school.
Finalists who are not present at the award ceremony will foreight their prize and will not be elligible to receive the grand champion cash prize in each category. So if you’re a finalist, you don’t want to miss out on the chance of winning the cash prize.

10:45am Presentation of the $200 CASH prize to the grand champion in the 4-7 yrs age category.
11.15am – Registration for all finalists in the 8-10 yrs age category & the 11-13 yrs age category. Finalist must be present to collect their prize and to be eligible for the grand champion cash prize.

The entries are all out at participating schools, people have been downloading entry forms from the website and entries are already starting to come back in as well. The other day I spent the day drive around all the local schools: Maroochydore, Bli Bli, Pacific Paradise, Mooloolaba, Kuluin and dropped off heaps of entry forms and entry boxes.

After months of planning and preparation, the competition is almost ready to begin. This colouring competition is FREE to enter and is open to children on the Sunshine Coast, 4-13 years of age. And thanks to the to Sunshine Coast Karate, we have a huge prize pool worth $75,540 in value.
So far we have a number of local schools on board to help distribute and collect entry forms. However you can also download your entry forms from this website. In total we have 13 different pictures for you to colour, each with a different theme. Each of the following pictures carries with it a different life skill messages important for laying the foundation for success in your life. All of the themes have been carefully selected by the team at Sunshine Coast Karate to refelect the kind of things that you will learn in their programs. Of course, you will learn how to defend yourself, you will learn how to deal with bullies and you will get fit and strong, but you will also develop these very important life skills along the way.

The main competition entry form is based around the theme of “Perseverance”. The competition is officially due to start, Monday 9th May 2011 and will continue until 5pm Friday 3rd June. Once the competition has started, you will be able to download the official entry form, using the link below.
In addition to the main entry, there are will be an additionl bonus 12 themes that are also available. The bonus themes will be a great way to increase your chances to win.
